Urgently implementing the North-South Expressway Construction Project

(Quang Binh Portal) - On the morning of March 29, 2025, a working delegation of the Ministry of Construction led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van inspected the implementation of the Vung Ang - Bung Component Project of the North - South Eastern Expressway Project, phase 2021 - 2025. Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Phan Phong Phu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of relevant departments, branches, and districts.

The delegation inspected the construction site of the Vung Ang - Bung Component Project through Quang Binh province at Cu Nam intersection (KM 626+700) and Deo But tunnel. The Vung Ang - Bung Component Project through Quang Binh has a length of 42.44km. To date, the site clearance work on the main route has been 100% completed. 14/14 resettlement areas have been completed and arranged for 199/199 households to move in...

There are still some locations where the fence has not been constructed. The project has a length of 500m, the total length of the road is 220m, the section passing through Quang Trach district. Quang Trach district People's Committee is urgently resolving, striving to hand over the site in April 2025.

In addition, there are 02 newly-arrived 500kV power line locations through Quang Trach district that have been proposed by Project Management Board 6 to increase clearance and are selecting contractors to relocate in April 2025.

After inspecting the site, the Deputy Minister of Construction highly appreciated the efforts of the localities, investors, and contractors of the Vung Ang-Bung component project through Quang Binh; at the same time, he requested the units to continue to promote their sense of responsibility to focus on coordinating to completely handle difficulties and shortcomings, urgently construct the remaining items according to schedule; complete documents and procedures related to the Project; assess the impacts and influences related to the people and localities; in addition, the contractor focused on arranging more human resources, striving to put the Project into operation, ensuring quality, safety, aesthetics, etc.

Deputy Minister of Construction and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented gifts to officers and workers participating in the construction of the project.

The Deputy Minister of Construction also requested Quang Binh province to continue to pay attention, create favorable conditions, and coordinate with investors and contractors to quickly handle difficulties and problems related to the relocation of the 500kV power line, affected households, and the construction of service roads and fences to ensure quality and complete the project and put it into use on schedule...
