On August 5, in Hanoi, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), Mr. Phan Anh Son, President of VUFO, awarded the Medal "For Peace and Friendship among Nations" to Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Vietnam Hans-Peter Glanzer for his great and practical contributions to the Vietnam-Austria relationship.
At the event, VUFO President Phan Anh Son affirmed that during his term in Vietnam, Ambassador Hans-Peter Glanzer made many contributions to promoting bilateral cooperation between the two countries in many fields.
In particular, the Ambassador always attaches importance to people-to-people diplomacy, promoting exchanges, interactions and understanding between the people of Vietnam and Austria.
Under the Ambassador's leadership, the Austrian Embassy has coordinated with Vietnamese agencies and organizations to organize cultural and artistic exchange programs. These activities have contributed to increasing people's access to and participation in cultural and artistic activities, promoting cultural diversity and exchanges between the people of the two countries.
The Ambassador also plays an important role in the joint efforts of the two sides to successfully arrange high-level contacts, delegation exchanges, and organize activities to celebrate major holidays and important events of the two countries such as: The 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Austria (December 1, 1972 - December 1, 2022); Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son visits and works in Vienna - celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations (September 2022)...
According to VUFO President, Ambassador Hans-Peter Glanzer is also particularly interested in promoting cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, economy, science and education.
The Ambassador regularly coordinates closely with relevant agencies and partners in Vietnam in organizing receptions, supporting and arranging work programs for delegations of Austrian agencies and businesses to Vietnam, as well as supporting Vietnamese delegations to Austria to survey the market, explore potential and cooperation possibilities between the two sides.
Expressing his honor to receive the Medal “For Peace and Friendship among Nations,” Ambassador Hans-Peter Glanzer thanked VUFO, the Vietnam-Austria Friendship Association and Vietnamese partners for supporting the Ambassador during his term.
Affirming that the friendship and cooperation between the people of the two countries play an important role, the Ambassador believes that people-to-people exchange activities will be a bridge to promote economic, investment, trade, education, cultural, tourism cooperation, etc., bringing the Vietnam-Austria relationship to increasingly develop and deepen./.
