The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch conveying the direction of Vice Chairwoman Tran Thi Dieu Thuy at the meeting to listen to the report on the preparation progress of the Subcommittee on commemorative activities and works serving the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Regarding the location of the artillery ceremony at Bach Dang Wharf Park, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to report and ask for the opinion of the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee in charge of the location to start the construction of the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River at the location on the other side of the river to hand over the site to the unit deploying the artillery ceremony to serve the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Along with that, the Department of Culture and Sports is responsible for coordinating with the assigned unit under the Ministry of National Defense to urgently advise and agree on the number of parade blocks and the number of vehicles serving the parade blocks; complete the parade scenario, design the honor vehicles and art parade vehicles of the blocks, and submit them to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for approval by the Steering Committee before organizing construction.
Coordinate and work with Thu Duc City People's Committee to arrange locations for people to watch live aircraft performances and celebrations, parades and marches on the morning of April 30; arrange LED screens for people to watch the program.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Command to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to develop a report and specific plan to propose logistics work to welcome and organize tours for forces participating in the parade during the training period in the city, and assigned the city's organizations to be responsible for organizing and implementing before and after April 30, 2025.
The leaders of Ho Chi Minh City also assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports and the Department of Construction to organize a series of activities to announce and honor 50 outstanding construction works, 50 outstanding events and activities of the city, 50 outstanding literary and artistic works, and submit them to the City People's Committee. The announcement must be completed no later than April 25.
