On the afternoon of September 11, US President Biden and his entourage moved to Noi Bai airport to board Air Force One to leave Hanoi, ending a 24-hour visit and work in Vietnam.

At 3:15 p.m., after about ten minutes of visiting and laying flowers at the statue of late Senator John McCain by Truc Bach Lake, US President Biden and his entourage left Hanoi, ending a nearly 24-hour visit to Vietnam.

Along Tran Nhat Duat, Tran Quang Khai, Trang Tien, Hang Khay, Trang Thi streets... police stretched ropes on both sides of the road. The checkpoints consisted of police forces, militia, youth volunteers... more than a meter apart.

At the foot of Long Bien Bridge , the area near the market is deserted compared to normal days when the fruit and vegetable vendors on the sidewalk have packed up and gone inside. The houses on both sides of the street have temporarily stopped trading, closed their doors, and drawn their curtains.

At around 3:20 p.m., the convoy passed the foot of Long Bien Bridge to enter Trang Tien Street. Behind it was the 121-year-old Long Bien Bridge spanning the Red River, along with the world's longest ceramic road running along the dike.

The car passed the Opera House - a building over a hundred years old, considered the "art cathedral" and a tourist attraction of the capital. The building is located near the relics of Hoan Kiem Lake and the Vietnam History Museum.

After nearly 30 minutes of traveling on the central streets, the convoy headed towards Vo Chi Cong Street, crossed Nhat Tan Bridge to Noi Bai Airport. After the convoy left, the police cleared the warning tape and barriers, and traffic returned to normal.

At 4:00 p.m. on September 10, US President Joe Biden and his entourage landed at Noi Bai airport on Air Force One, beginning his visit to Vietnam.

During his 24 hours in Hanoi, President Biden had many important activities, especially talks with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the Party Central Committee Office, establishing a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development between Vietnam and the United States.

This afternoon, President Biden also met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and attended the Vietnam-US Summit on Investment and Innovation. Afterwards, Mr. Biden met with President Vo Van Thuong and attended a State banquet.

"Thank you for the warm welcome, Vietnam. I know this will be a historic visit," the US President wrote on social network X on the evening of September 10. Before leaving Hanoi, Mr. Biden went to lay flowers at the statue of the late Senator John McCain, who built a bridge for Vietnam-US relations.
