“We have not yet achieved full operational control over Crimea and the surrounding territorial waters, but we will achieve this goal. It is only a question of time,” Zelensky said at a meeting at the Crimea Platform, a diplomatic forum since 2021.
Russian forces continue to bombard the eastern Ukrainian city of Avdiivka, according to Ukrainian officials. The officials believe the casualties have forced Russia to switch to an airstrike strategy instead of a ground offensive.

Moldova blocked 20 Russian media sites on Tuesday, saying they were being used in information warfare against the country. A ruling by Moldova’s Security and Intelligence Service listed 22 Russian news sites to be blocked. The Russian foreign ministry was quoted as saying the decision was a “hostile step” aimed at depriving Moldovans of access to alternative news sources. Moldova has restricted the broadcasting rights of Russian news channels as well as analytical and military content from June 2022 after Russia launched its campaign in Ukraine.
