On the morning of April 4, in Thanh Hoa province, the Northern Power Corporation held an online customer conference. In the first quarter of 2024, Vietnam Electricity Group ensured safe and continuous electricity supply, serving socio-economic development, meeting people's daily needs. In the first quarter, the total electricity output of the whole system reached 69.4 billion kWh, an increase of 11.8% over the same period in 2023. The output and proportion of mobilized power sources of the whole system in the first quarter were as follows: Hydropower reached 10.62 billion kWh, accounting for 15.3%. Coal-fired thermal power 39.99 billion kWh, accounting for 57.6%. Gas turbines 6.06 billion kWh, accounting for 8.7%. Renewable energy 11.45 billion kWh, accounting for 16.5% (of which solar power reached 6.61 billion kWh, wind power 4.43 billion kWh). Imported electricity 1.15 billion kWh, accounting for 1.7%. Power transmission output in March 2024 reached 20 billion kWh. Accumulated in the first quarter of 2024, power transmission output reached 54.36 billion kWh, an increase of 11.17% over the same period in 2023.
The customers are large businesses using electricity to attend conferences.
At the conference, the leaders of the Corporation and major customers focused on discussing and sharing information on key contents on the results of implementing the load adjustment program, customer care and electricity saving in 2023; the electricity supply situation in 2024; the experience of customers in effectively implementing the load adjustment program; digital transformation solutions in energy management.
Regarding the supply of electricity to serve the economic and social development in the province, Thai Binh Electricity Company has continuously made efforts to invest in completing the power grid infrastructure, promoting the application of science and technology in management and operation to ensure safe and continuous supply of electricity to 741,344 customers. In business and customer service, Thai Binh Power Company provides many convenient services on digital platforms, creating maximum convenience in transactions, helping to reduce time and costs for electricity customers such as signing electronic contracts, paying electricity bills without cash via Smartphone applications... The reliability of electricity supply is increasingly improved, shortening the electricity access index to 2.90 days/project, a decrease of 0.53 days compared to 2022. The electricity bill collection rate of the whole Company reached 100.01%, an increase of 0.21% compared to the assigned plan, an increase of 0.02% compared to 2022. The rate of customers paying without cash reached 99.26%, an increase of 9.69% compared to 2022 and exceeding the assigned plan by 12.55%. As of December 31, 2023, the entire Company has 637,548 electronic meters capable of remote data collection, accounting for 85.33% of the total 747,154 meters operating on the grid.
