On the afternoon of February 21, comrades: Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), Northern Power Corporation and National Power Transmission Corporation on the situation of electricity supply and investment in construction of power projects in the province; removing difficulties and obstacles related to the 500kV line 3 project in the province and some related contents. Attending the working session on the EVN side was comrade Dang Hoang An, Chairman of the EVN Board of Members.

In January 2024, the commercial electricity output reached nearly 300 million kWh, an increase of 46.06% over the same period in 2023. Currently, the electricity sector is focusing on investing in the construction of electricity projects and works to serve the socio-economic development of the province such as: Thai Binh 500kV transformer station project and 500kV, 220kV connecting lines; has invested in 26 110kV power grid projects with a total investment of more than 2,000 billion VND, 132 medium and low voltage power grid projects with a total investment of more than 1,400 billion VND. In particular, the electricity sector is currently coordinating with the province to implement the 500kV power line project of Nam Dinh 1 - Pho Noi thermal power plant, section through Thai Binh province. The project passes through 4 districts: Vu Thu, Dong Hung, Quynh Phu, Hung Ha. Currently, Thai Binh province has handed over 107/107 column foundation positions to the construction unit.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, sincerely thanked EVN for its attention and active cooperation in investing in the power grid system in the province. Regarding the 500kV transmission line project of Nam Dinh 1 Thermal Power Plant - Pho Noi, section through Thai Binh province, he emphasized: This is a national key project, of great significance to the development of the province, the district as well as serving the essential lives of the people.

He requested that the districts where the project passes through must further enhance their sense of responsibility to create the most favorable conditions for the project's construction, and absolutely must not obstruct or affect the project's progress; the media agencies must further strengthen propaganda work so that people can clearly see the purpose and significance of the project, thereby reaching consensus for the smooth implementation of the project. He also set a specific time for relevant departments, branches and localities to carry out tasks related to the 500kV transmission line project of Nam Dinh 1 - Pho Noi Thermal Power Plant, section through Thai Binh province.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that EVN would continue to accompany and support in supplying electricity as well as implementing electricity projects to not only ensure sufficient electricity for the production development of enterprises in the province but also turn Thai Binh province into one of the industrial and energy development centers of the Red River Delta region as planned for Thai Binh province in the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1735/QD-TTg.

Comrade Dang Hoang An, Chairman of the Board of Members of EVN, sincerely thanked Thai Binh province for actively accompanying, removing difficulties, and seriously implementing the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister in implementing the 500kV transmission line project of Nam Dinh 1 - Pho Noi Thermal Power Plant, section through Thai Binh province. He hoped to continue receiving the attention and support of the province so that the electricity sector could effectively implement the projects.

Accepting the recommendations of the province, the Chairman of the EVN Board of Members requested that member units closely coordinate with departments, branches and localities of the province to speed up the implementation of power grid projects in the area, especially the 500kV transmission line project of Nam Dinh 1 - Pho Noi Thermal Power Plant, section through Thai Binh province, thereby contributing to ensuring safe and stable power supply to serve the socio-economic development of the province.
