Experts and scholars from many countries around the world have made assessments affirming the role and contributions of the General Secretary to the cause of national construction and development as well as efforts to build and rectify the Communist Party of Vietnam. Professor Jayachandra Reddy, former Director of the Center for Southeast Asian and Pacific Studies, Sri Venkateswara University (India), commented that under the leadership of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam's economy continues to develop, from an agricultural country devastated by war to one of the most dynamic economies in Asia. Professor Reddy emphasized that the leadership of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has helped Vietnam overcome many challenges, through policies to create an economic framework for growth and poverty reduction; create a supportive environment for start-ups; transform the rural economy; strengthen internationally competent human resources; provide effective infrastructure and services; improve environmental quality; building modern governance with the support of information technology; and building trust at the global level. Mr. Reddy also said that under the leadership of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam always prioritizes maintaining social welfare, promoting the fight against corruption, promoting administrative reform and enhancing activities to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty. As a country with a long history, ancient culture, diverse natural resources, a young, dynamic, skillful workforce, and stable socio-politics, Vietnam will continue to be a potential market and an ideal destination for international investors and businesses, especially countries such as the US, Japan, India, etc. Referring to the General Secretary's contributions to developing relations between Vietnam and other countries, Professor Reddy said that with the "bamboo diplomacy" approach initiated by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam has maintained good bilateral relations with other countries. According to the expert, as a person who deeply believes in Ho Chi Minh's ideology and deeply understands the importance of culture, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also deeply engraves that "culture is the soul of the nation." Professor Reddy concluded: "General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is an ideologist, a culturalist, and the theoretical flag of the Party. Meanwhile, Japanese architect and historical researcher Ueno Tomio commented that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a leader with pure moral qualities, a simple lifestyle, integrity, and outstanding leadership ability.
