This is the second event in the series of international music projects "Good Morning Vietnam" initiated by Nhan Dan Newspaper. "Good Morning Vietnam" is a music event hosted by Nhan Dan Newspaper, held annually not only with the purpose of spreading the world's top music to Vietnam but also has profound humanitarian values because all ticket sales are used for charity purposes. After the resounding success of the opening show "Kenny G Live In Vietnam" in 2023, on the morning of September 11, the Organizing Committee announced the music group participating in the "Good Morning Vietnam" project for the second year.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Program Steering Committee said that Good Morning Vietnam has been organized since 2023 and has received public attention. This year, following the success, we invited the band BOND to Vietnam.

"In the past few days, the whole country has been supporting our compatriots in the flood-hit areas. We want to use music to connect solidarity and love among the community. Therefore, the Organizing Committee has decided that all ticket sales will be donated to support compatriots affected by storm No. 3 and floods," said Mr. Le Quoc Minh.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh said that the band BOND had come to Vietnam twice in 2015 and 2016. However, this was the first time the four talented girls came to the Vietnamese public in a meaningful event to contribute to charity activities and promote Vietnamese tourism.

“BOND Live In Vietnam” is an affirmation of Nhan Dan Newspaper’s commitment to continue bringing world-class music to music lovers in the country, through professionally organized programs, while contributing to spreading Vietnamese cultural values on the background of beautiful familiar melodies to friends around the world. The success of the program “Kenny G Live in Vietnam” has affirmed the right direction of Nhan Dan Newspaper and we believe that “BOND Live in Vietnam” as well as future programs will be warmly welcomed by the public nationwide,” Mr. Le Quoc Minh added.

Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong, Chairman of IB Group Vietnam, Program Production Director shared: “As a unit with experience in bringing many international music legends to Vietnam, IB Group is proud to continue to contribute to the “Good Morning Vietnam” project with the participation of the legendary quartet BOND, together with Nhan Dan Newspaper. This is the first time BOND has organized a private concert in Vietnam and what is more special is that this is also the group’s largest-scale concert in our country, with the stage and audience both meeting international standards.”

Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong answered questions from the press.

Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong also said that Good Morning Vietnam is an annual project of Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group, aiming to spread world-class music to Vietnamese music lovers. In particular, in this music series, international artists and the Organizing Committee all aim to engage in community activities and introduce the image of the country and people of Vietnam to the world. During this time coming to Vietnam to perform and participate in community activities, the BOND quartet also wants to donate items to the Organizing Committee for charity auction. These items will be announced at the press conference before the music night on October 5.

Answering the press's question about the special features of BOND Live In Vietnam, Mr. Le Quoc Minh said that instead of performing with many other artists like the previous two times he came to Vietnam, this year for the first time BOND will have its own concert. About 20 works will be performed to bring top-notch music to the audience. "We cannot share the specific songs yet, but there will definitely be the famous song Victory," said Mr. Le Quoc Minh.

Bond is a female musical group consisting of members: Tania Davis (violin), Eos Counsell (violin), Elspeth Hanson (viola) and Gay-Yee Westerhoff (cello). The string quartet from London (England) is famous worldwide for its musical style that blends classical and modern, creating extremely special music. Bond's musical style has been compared to famous violinist Vanessa-Mae, when they combine classical, rock, pop, Latin, folk, jazz, electro with a bit of Indian and Western music styles...

Active since 2000, for the past 24 years, the 4 members of Bond have maintained a youthful, modern performance style and maintained the title of the most successful string quartet in the history of world music. Bond is a rare international quartet with a large fan base around the world as well as in Vietnam thanks to its cheerful, easy-to-listen music and extremely engaging performance style. To date, Bond has sold more than 5 million albums worldwide and is the most successful string quartet in the history of world music. After more than 2 decades, Bond still has a huge fan base around the world with concerts always packed with audiences thanks to its timeless music and style.

The group's songs "Shine", "Victory", "Hungarian", "Explosive", "Summer"... have become favorite melodies all over the world. In 2015 and 2016, Bond came to Vietnam but performed in a limited space. Therefore, although this is the third time coming to Vietnam, this is the first time the public has enjoyed the wonderful melodies and admired Bond's style on the Hanoi stage.

“BOND Live in Vietnam”, taking place at 8:00 p.m. on October 5, 2024 at the My Dinh National Convention Center, promises to be a night of music with many emotional levels on the stage of the capital Hanoi. Vietnamese audiences will be immersed in a luxurious, world-class musical space that is also intimate and full of nostalgia. This is a spiritual gift that Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group want to send to Vietnamese music lovers with noble human values on each ticket of the program.
