Continue to organize appraisal and submit for approval the unit price for replacement forest planting.

Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document on assigning to continue consulting, reviewing, completing documents, organizing appraisal, and submitting for approval the unit price for reforestation in the province.

The issuance/approval of the price for replacement forest planting by the Provincial People's Committee is an important and urgent matter and is the basis for project owners to change the purpose of forest use to another purpose to determine the amount of money to be paid for replacement forest planting; investors organize the implementation of replacement forest planting according to the regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to study the appraisal opinions of the Department of Finance, the Department of Planning and Investment, and the Department of Justice to determine the order, process, and form of issuing documents of the Provincial People's Committee on the unit price for reforestation in the province. On that basis, organize a conference, collect full opinions from relevant departments, branches, and units, and complete the dossier on the unit price for reforestation in the province, and send it to the Department of Finance before April 8, 2024 for appraisal and consultation to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.

The Department of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units (if necessary) to continue researching, appraising and advising the Provincial People's Committee to fully implement the procedures for approving/issuing unit prices for replacement forest planting in Thanh Hoa province in accordance with current legal regulations; report to the Provincial People's Committee before April 30, 2024.
