Tien Phong is ready for the 2024 National Press Festival

TPO - Tien Phong Newspaper is ready for the 2024 National Press Festival, a major event of the national press officially opening on Le Loi Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

The 2024 National Press Festival with the theme "Vietnamese Press - Pioneering, Innovating for the Revolutionary Cause of the Party and People" will take place from March 15 to March 17, on Le Loi Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

This is the largest event ever, with the participation of 100 central and local press agencies and 63 provincial and municipal Journalists Associations.

"On the big day of Vietnamese journalism, we carefully check and select the newest and most complete publications, without any technical errors, every page of the publication is checked," said Mr. Minh Tuan, distribution department of Tien Phong newspaper.

Two main publications will be displayed at the Tien Phong booth at the 2024 National Newspaper Festival.

This year's Press Festival has an exhibition area on the history of Vietnamese journalism, 8 special exhibition booths of important press agencies and 112 unique press exhibition booths... The 2024 National Press Festival carries the pioneering spirit of innovation of modern journalism. In that development, the public can also return to history, to the cultural heritage space reflecting the formation and development process of Vietnamese journalism over 99 years.

In addition to the newspaper exhibition booths, the 2024 Press Festival will organize for the first time a "National Press Forum" with large-scale professional activities, with the participation of more than 60 speakers who are experienced journalists, leaders of leading Vietnamese press agencies, and prestigious international media experts.

Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Ngoc Hoi shared: "Although the implementation time is urgent, the Press Festival is held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City with the largest scale ever, however, the coordination work is carried out very closely. With the experience of organizing the Book Festival before, we also take into account the best conditions, especially ensuring the safety and health of all participants in the hot weather in Ho Chi Minh City.

This year, the Press Festival will feature 64 OCOP product booths from 50 provinces and centrally-run cities. On the evenings of March 15 and 16, the Press Festival will also feature special art performances to serve the public and visitors. Journalist Le My Ai Linh - Acting Director of the Center for Journalism and Culture, Vietnam Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2024 National Press Festival shared that, unlike previous years, this year's Press Festival will be held in a larger space, which is the axis of Le Loi Street and Nguyen Hue Walking Street. The opening hours of the Press Festival will be longer, starting from 8am to 12pm every day to serve the visiting public.
