City of Jazz: Spreading the love of Jazz to young people

Taking place on the evenings of April 10 and 11, City of Jazz is a music event organized by a group of students from the Faculty of Public Relations and Advertising, Academy of Journalism and Communication.

Inspired by the image of the city of dreams in the movie "La La Land", the City of Jazz music night opened a lively space for enjoying art, attracting many students studying in the capital city of Hanoi to participate.

Bui Thuy Trang, a student of Marketing Communication class A2 K42 (Academy of Journalism and Propaganda), Head of the Organizing Committee of City of Jazz 2025 shared: "We hope that the event will not stop at just a regular music night. Coming here, the audience will experience Jazz with all their senses."

In addition to enjoying the music, many young audiences took part in Blues dancing classes, enjoyed special event drinks and enjoyed the cinematic atmosphere at Blake's House of Jazz.

"To me, music is very familiar but also extremely magical. Jazz helps each person return to being themselves, and from there open up to those around them. Coming to City of Jazz, you will have a pause in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Here, everyone will be able to relax, letting their emotions blend into each melody," Bui Thuy Trang expressed.

Attending the first performance of City of Jazz, Tran Mai Phuong, a student at the National Economics University, said that this was the first time she had heard live Jazz music, as well as participated in an interactive event.

"Everything from the music, the lights, to the magical space evokes the feeling of being lost in my favorite movie La La Land. This is truly a new and memorable experience," Phuong said.
