Budget revenue in 9 months reached over 5,600 billion VND

Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee said that the province's socio-economic situation continues to change positively and prosper.

Accordingly, in the first 9 months of 2023, the state budget revenue in the area reached over 5,600 billion VND, reaching 76.45% of the estimate; the economy developed quite well compared to the same period; the value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production increased by over 3%; the value of industrial production increased by 5.95%; total retail sales of goods and services increased by 13.24%. The situation of industrial production activities continued to recover and develop, the industrial production index in September 2023 increased by 7.6% over the previous month, up 22.2% over the same period. The consumption index in September compared to the previous month and the same period increased by 5.4% and 17.2% respectively, the cumulative consumption index of the processing and manufacturing industry in the first 9 months of 2023 is estimated to increase by 4.2% over the same period.

In addition to positive signals from industrial production, trade and tourism services also continued to increase. The favorable investment and business environment and increased industrial production capacity created a fairly abundant supply of goods and raw materials to meet market demand. The timely implementation of policies to support credit interest rates, tax exemptions and reductions, housing rental support for workers, etc. from the socio-economic recovery and development program has helped production and business activities in the area change positively and flourish.
