According to information from the General Department of Market Management, on July 9, the market management force of Hanoi city caught and promptly seized more than 50 thousand expired cosmetics and toothpaste products with their expiration dates erased and new expiration dates printed at five business booths in the area of Nguyen Dinh Tu street, Xuan Dinh ward, Bac Tu Liem district.

Accordingly, through a surprise inspection of the 5 above-mentioned business booths, the authorities discovered more than 50,000 products with a total weight of more than 20 tons of goods including cosmetics, shampoos, brands: ACLEAF Repair toner, OHBT, MAMACOS,... manufactured abroad, showing signs of expiration.
In addition, the authorities also seized a large quantity of other infringing goods, including children's toothpaste branded O-ZONE and many cosmetics with old expiration dates erased and new expiration dates printed and stamped, extending the expiration dates by several years compared to the previous expiration dates.

The market management force identified the business owner as Mr. Lai Vu Thang, born in 1988, permanent residence at No. 58, Lane 401, Xuan Dinh Street, Xuan Dinh Ward, Bac Tu Liem.
Working with the inspection team, Mr. Lai Vu Thang could not present invoices and documents proving the legal origin of all the goods at the facility. The inspection team counted and classified the goods, and prepared a file for handling according to regulations.
