Vinh City met with nearly 400 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households

The first meeting in 2025 of Vinh city with the business community, entrepreneurs, cooperatives and business households has the theme "Government and businesses connect - accompany - develop economy and society".

At the meeting, comrade Tran Quang Lam - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, on behalf of the leaders of Vinh City People's Committee, quickly informed about the outstanding results of socio-economic development and business situation in 2024 and the first months of 2025.

Accordingly, in 2024, the city's product value growth will reach 9.86%. The economic structure will shift in the right direction; total budget revenue in the area will reach VND 7,908.2 billion - exceeding the budget revenue target assigned by the province and the City People's Council and equal to 178.5% compared to 2023.

Average income per capita reaches 138.4 million VND/year. In 2024, the city will focus on directing and implementing solutions to support and stimulate economic development; promote the development of night-time economy and marine tourism economy; focus on solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, creating a favorable business environment for economic sectors to develop.

Up to now, the city has 9,035 enterprises (including 430 enterprises of the old Cua Lo town), 112 cooperatives, and more than 35,000 business households operating.

In 2025, despite many difficulties, the city has been focusing on implementing 6 key tasks and solutions to complete the set socio-economic targets.

At the forum, representatives of the City People's Committee also shared the difficulties of the business community and entrepreneurs; the impacts and influences on the implementation of urban infrastructure management and investment tasks in the context of administrative unit restructuring. Affirming that despite the difficulties, the Party Committee and the government always make efforts, accompany and remove difficulties for the business community.

Within the framework of the meeting, representatives of Vinh city leaders also informed the list of projects calling for investment in urban transport infrastructure and residential areas in Vinh city from now until 2030; suggested incentive policies to attract investment based on the provisions of law and the province for businesses to refer to and invest...

On this occasion, some businessmen made recommendations that the province and city should have mechanisms and policies for domestic enterprises to participate in the production chain of FDI enterprises in industrial parks in the province; have solutions to effectively exploit Cua Lo sea tourism, develop fisheries with a focus on investing in specialized and unique service products to retain tourists.

In addition, businesses also recommended that despite the difficulties during this period, the city's Party Committee and government need to actively resolve outstanding issues, while continuing to support businesses, cooperatives, and business households...

On behalf of the leaders of Vinh city, comrade Tran Quang Lam - Vice Chairman of Vinh city People's Committee respectfully received the opinions and recommendations of the business community and entrepreneurs. Based on the orientations in the new Resolutions of the Politburo on investment in science and technology development, prioritizing the development of the private economy, the representative of Vinh city leaders also suggested some innovations of the Party and State, thereby enhancing the role and activities of enterprises and business associations in the coming time...
