At the Dong Anh factory, more than 1,000 union members, workers and representatives of the Union and Company leaders enjoyed the “Union Meal”. Each meal costs an average of 60,000 VND, of which the Company’s Union supports 31,000 VND/meal. Meals include rice with ribs, fish, fried squid, vermicelli soup, etc., with fruit, yogurt, and bottled water for dessert.
Excited to attend the special meal, worker Dinh Thi Quyen said that on a normal day, the company's shift meals are among the top in the Industrial Park. Today's "Union Meal" is more special with more diverse dishes, more filling, and more drinks. "Everyone ate together in a more connected, warm, and intimate atmosphere. I hope the Union Meals will continue to be maintained" - worker Quyen expressed.
Mr. Vuong Van Chien - who has been working with TOTO Vietnam Co., Ltd. for 14 years shared that he felt honored to be mobilized by the Company's Union to serve water to workers, and to enjoy benefits such as the delicious Union Meal program, with meals that are increased in terms of nutritious dishes.
“After many years of working at the factory, this is the first time the “Union Meal” has been organized. This program has helped us see the closeness, care, and sharing of union officials at all levels, creating more trust and connection” – Mr. Chien shared.
According to the President of the Trade Union of TOTO Vietnam Co., Ltd. Pham Thi Bich Hai, with the view of improving the quality of meals for workers is to improve production efficiency for the enterprise, the company always carries out the message "Your health is our wealth".
On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Trade Union coordinated with the Company's leadership to organize a "Trade Union Meal" simultaneously at 3 factories in Dong Anh, Hung Yen, Vinh Phuc with over 4 thousand meals served to practically express gratitude to union members and workers who have made important contributions to the development of the enterprise.
“The Union meal is also an opportunity for workers, the Union organization and business leaders to share and confide, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and understanding. Thereby, building trust and attachment between union members and workers towards the Union organization and the business, building a harmonious, stable and progressive relationship” – Ms. Pham Thi Bich Hai shared.
At the program, Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation Pham Quang Thanh thanked the attention of business leaders and the Trade Union organization for caring for workers and expressed hope that through the program "Trade Union Meal", workers will have more joy and health to continue to enthusiastically compete in production, improve their skills, and contribute more to the Company.
The Chairman of the City Labor Federation affirmed that the Trade Union will continue to organize many activities to care more for union members and workers, coordinate with business leaders to improve welfare regimes, production and business conditions, and stabilize the lives and jobs of workers.
Also at the program, the Trade Union of TOTO Vietnam Co., Ltd. presented 50 gifts including 500,000 VND in cash and a gift bag worth 300,000 VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
