In his opening speech at the THACO Cup 2025 Finals, journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, and Head of the tournament's organizing committee, warmly welcomed: "11 student football teams from all over the country have had a courageous and proud journey in the regional qualifying rounds. You have excellently passed the screening process, which can be said to be extremely harsh, to be present here with the host team Ton Duc Thang University to participate in the Finals".

Looking back at the qualifying rounds, journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan commented: "The Vietnam Youth Football Tournament has entered its third season, and is still following the successful path of the previous two seasons thanks to the close direction of the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Students' Association; the close professional coordination of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); and the enthusiastic response of students nationwide. In 6 regions of the country, 66 teams participating in the qualifying rounds have contributed 101 matches with many different levels. There were matches where the place in the final round was only determined by a thrilling penalty shootout. There were matches where both the winner and the loser shed tears when the tension and emotions broke their endurance...".

Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan sent a message to the teams: "The players had a convincing performance in the regional qualifying round and now, when going out to sea, you will continue to prove your mettle in the storm. The road to glory is still full of hardships, but the Organizing Committee believes that the teams will have more motivation in this year's final round. That is, the champion team of the third season will receive another prestigious award: together with the host team Ton Duc Thang University, representing Vietnamese students to compete in the 2025 International Youth Student Football Tournament - THACO Cup, which will take place from March 22 to 30, 2025, also at this stadium."
The song "Thuyen to song lon" performed by female singer Pham Lich at the opening ceremony was like a word of encouragement for the players of the teams to play well, conquer difficulties and challenges at the TNSV THACO cup 2025 Finals to have emotional experiences.
Spread the love of school football
Before solemnly declaring the opening of the THACO Cup 2025 Finals, the Head of the Organizing Committee called on student players - future intellectuals: "Together, we light up the dream of reaching the top. Together, we spread the love of football and develop school sports. Together, we contribute to creating a generation of healthy, talented, ambitious Vietnamese students, firmly entering the new era".

Players of the 12 excellent teams that qualified for the final round expressed their joy, excitement, and desire to conquer when witnessing a large number of fans coming to Ton Duc Thang University to attend the opening ceremony as well as cheer for the competing teams. The appearance of the head coach of the Vietnamese football team, Mr. Kim Sang-sik, who led the Vietnamese team to the championship of the 2024 AFF Cup; captain of the Vietnamese women's team Huynh Nhu, who together with the Vietnamese women's football team made history in their first participation in the World Cup, added motivation for the players to be ready to conquer the top playground of student football. The timely attention and encouragement of the leaders of the Central Youth Union Secretariat, leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Department of Sports and Physical Training, the VFF, the Board of Directors of universities and accompanying units at the opening ceremony was also a catalyst for student football to develop more and more strongly.

Coach Ta Hong Ha of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry team, who won the right to enter the final round of the TNSV THACO cup for the first time, expressed his special impression with the thoughtful and professional organization that the tournament organizers gave to all teams. "There should be more tournaments like Thanh Nien Newspaper "Organize so that student football has a quality playground.
