Father's Gift aired on the evening of July 17. The film deals with the life of a "single father raising children" of Mr. Nhan (Meritorious Artist Vo Hoai Nam). He has 3 children: Nghia (Tuan Tu), Thao (Ngoc Huyen) and Hieu (Duy Khanh).
Nghia is the eldest brother in the family and currently lives in the city with his rich and talented wife named Quyen (Huong Giang). However, Nghia's life is not very smooth because his mother-in-law (NSND Minh Hoa) openly despises her poor son-in-law.
As the only daughter in the family, Thao became independent early. She was a student at the Conservatory of Music, so she often sang and taught to earn extra money to cover her living expenses. However, Thao's talent and the favor she received from her teachers made a classmate very jealous. Meanwhile, Hieu accepted to live in the countryside to be close to his father.

In episode 2 of the film, the audience will see more clearly the real life of Mr. Nhan's 4 children. The eldest brother Nghia is preparing his feelings for his wife when his mother-in-law calls to force Quyen to watch a movie with her.
At school, Thao accidentally let slip that she was about to have an important class. Her mean friend immediately took advantage of the opportunity when Thao was alone in the classroom looking for her phone to play a prank on her.
Thao revealed her special teaching schedule in front of her bad friend.
Meanwhile, in the countryside, Hieu confided in Mr. Nhan about his business plan: "I want to have my own car to make it easier to do business, Dad. But money...".
Seeing his son in trouble and believing in his son's business plan, Mr. Nhan firmly declared: "Okay, tomorrow morning my brother and I will go to the bank to withdraw our savings." Hearing that, Hieu panicked and refused: "Do you have a savings book? But that's your retirement money. I don't dare accept it."
Not wanting his son to feel awkward, Mr. Nhan immediately explained: "People think that children are savings. Investing in children is investing in old age. I want you to have a stable job so that I can have free time to take care of Thao."
Mr. Nhan decided to use all his savings to buy a car for Hieu.
After paying for a car for his son, Mr. Nhan received compliments from his neighbor, so he excitedly shared: "At the end of this year, Thao will graduate, I heard that Mr. Nghia has just taken office, and the youngest is about to get a truck."
The neighbor immediately took the opportunity to match her daughter with Hieu, but Mr. Nhan dismissed it. So in episode 2 of the film, the lives of Mr. Nhan's family of 4 began to have worrying problems.
Will Nghia continue to tolerate his mother-in-law's rudeness and unreasonableness to maintain family harmony? What situations will Thao encounter with her mean friend? Will Hieu really succeed with the truck bought with his father's retirement money?
