Establishment of State Bank branch in region 13 and appointment of leaders

(Chinhphu.vn) - On March 21, in Tien Giang, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a ceremony to announce the Decision to establish and launch SBV Branch Region 13 and appoint leaders.

The conference was co-chaired by Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam and Comrade Nguyen Van Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Giang province.

Attending the conference were leaders of Tien Giang, Long An, Ben Tre and Tra Vinh provinces, leaders of departments, associations, enterprises, cooperatives in the area, and credit institutions.

Accordingly, implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 6th Central Conference, Session XII, on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently, the SBV has recognized this as an important and urgent political task and has thoroughly grasped the spirit of urgency and made efforts to implement it resolutely and effectively with the highest political determination throughout the system.

For the SBV branches in provinces and centrally run cities, based on the requirements and tasks of the SBV, the specific nature of its operations, and large and complex management objects (credit institutions and people's credit funds), in order to ensure the full implementation of the State management function on currency, banking and foreign exchange activities, and the implementation of the SBV's central bank function for the economy in the provinces and cities, the SBV has completed the reorganization of 63 SBV branches in provinces and cities into 15 Regional SBVs, ensuring the implementation of State management, payment activities, monetary security, and treasury for the banking system.

In which, State Bank Region 13 includes 4 provinces: Tien Giang, Long An, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, the headquarters of the State Bank region is located in Tien Giang province.

On February 24, 2025 and February 27, 2025, the Governor of the State Bank signed decisions to appoint the Director, Deputy Director, Head of Department, Deputy Head of Department of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 13 from March 1, 2025.

Specifically, appointing and mobilizing Mr. Pham Minh Tu, Deputy Director of the Banking Strategy Institute to hold the position of Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 branch; appointing and mobilizing Ms. Nguyen Thi Dam, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Tien Giang province branch, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 branch; appointing and mobilizing Mr. Le Van Hai, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Tra Vinh province branch, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 branch; appointing and mobilizing Mr. Le Cong Thanh, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Ben Tre province branch, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 branch; appointing and mobilizing Ms. Le Thi My Hien, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Long An province branch, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 branch.

The consolidation of the State Bank's organizational structure, including 15 regional State Bank branches, is the result of serious and drastic efforts by the State Bank's Board of Directors and Steering Committee, implementing the consistent directions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on implementing the "revolution" of streamlining the apparatus, which is a key, urgent task, of special significance to the country's development in the new era.
