On the morning of October 17, the Propaganda Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee held a conference of Provincial Party Committee reporters for October 2023.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; leaders of a number of departments, branches, units, localities and reporters of the Provincial Party Committee.

At the conference, delegates were informed about the following topics: Results of investment attraction, implementation of works and projects in the province in the first 9 months of 2023, tasks for the coming time; Development of science, technology and innovation contributing to socio-economic development; Women's Union implementing the emulation movement to build Vietnamese women in the new era; Vietnam's marine spatial planning and Vietnam - US relations.

Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Phan Thanh Bien informed the topic: "Results of attracting investment, implementing works and projects in the province in the first 9 months of 2023, tasks in the coming time".

The conference also heard the leader of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department inform about the results of the 8th Central Conference, 13th term, held from October 2 to October 8.

At the 8th Conference, the 13th Party Central Committee reviewed and unanimously approved reports on the socio-economic situation and state budget in 2023, the plan for 2024; the 3-year state financial and budget plan for 2024-2026 and the roadmap for implementing the new salary regime.

At the same time, the Party Central Committee summarized 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW, dated June 10, 2012 of the 5th Central Conference, 11th tenure, on a number of social policy issues for the 2012-2020 period; summarized 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW, dated August 6, 2008 of the 10th Party Central Committee on building a contingent of intellectuals in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country; summarized 20 years of implementing Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW, dated March 12, 2003 of the 9th Party Central Committee on promoting the strength of great national unity for a rich people, a strong country, a just, democratic and civilized society; summarized 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 8, 11th tenure, on the Strategy for National Defense in the new situation.

The 8th Conference deployed a number of contents related to personnel work; planning the 14th Party Central Committee, term 2026 - 2031; establishing subcommittees to prepare for the 14th Party Congress; reporting on important tasks that the Politburo has resolved since the mid-term Central Conference to the 8th Central Conference and a number of key tasks until the 9th Central Conference, term XIII; reporting on party financial work in 2022.

Continue to propagate and implement the regulations of the Secretariat: Regulation No. 85-QD/TW on cadres and party members establishing and using personal electronic information pages on the internet and social networks; Regulation No. 99-QD/TW on the flag of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the use of the Party flag; Regulation 100-QD/TW and Regulation 101-QD/TW on responsibilities, powers and the appointment, dismissal, commendation and discipline of leaders of press agencies.

Propaganda on the implementation of Conclusion No. 48-KL/TW, dated January 30, 2023 of the Politburo on continuing to reorganize district and commune-level administrative units for the period 2023 - 2030; Resolution No. 35/2023/UBTVQH15, dated July 12, 2023 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the reorganization of district and commune-level administrative units for the period 2023 - 2030, contributing to creating consensus and unity among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the province.

Focus on promoting activities to celebrate major holidays of the homeland and country in October and November 2023. Strengthen the work of grasping and orienting public opinion, promptly advising on handling new issues of public concern. Enhance the effectiveness of the fight against and refuting wrong views and distorted arguments of hostile forces, reactionary organizations, extremists, opportunists, and politicians, especially in cyberspace.
