The stele house with the names of 96 martyrs of Huong Que Nam village (Que Phu commune, Que Son) was built with contributions from the children of the village in the campus of the village cultural house. This place has become a red address to remind and educate the revolutionary traditions of our ancestors to the younger generations on every occasion of village festivals.

Contributing to the nation's revolutionary cause, Huong Que Nam village has 96 martyrs, nearly 100 wounded and sick soldiers, 18 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and 2 Heroes of the People's Armed Forces.

After the war, together with the whole district, cadres, party members and people of Huong Que Nam village continuously promoted the tradition of solidarity, overcoming difficulties and working together to build their homeland.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Kien - Party Cell Secretary and Head of Huong Que Nam village, with the consensus of the people, the locality was recognized as a model new rural village (NTM) in 2020 and is continuing to sustainably maintain the achieved criteria.

“The Party Committee and Party cells focus on leading the work of propaganda and mobilizing people to effectively implement the Party's policies and the State's laws. The appearance of the new rural area of ​​the village is changing as people voluntarily donate land to widen roads and solidify concrete roads...” - Mr. Kien shared.

Another sign of local development is that the project to expand the DH3.QS road connecting Que Phu and Que Cuong communes has reached about 70% of its construction volume. To speed up the project, about 260 affected households in Huong An town, Que My commune and Que Phu commune agreed to donate land, trees and crops for construction.

In the story of the transformation of the young town of Huong An into an urban area after 5 years of establishment, according to Mr. Dinh Van Chau - Secretary of the Party Committee of Huong An town, the criteria for building a civilized urban town have been completed. There are 25 named streets. The emulation movement "Skillful mass mobilization" has been directed by the Party Committee to be widely deployed in all fields.

"People have voluntarily donated land to clear the ground for construction projects, promoting local socio-economic development," said Mr. Chau.

Self-renewal, self-correction

In the journey of building and developing the homeland, the Que Son District Party Committee always focuses on Party building work, with the spirit of constant self-renewal and self-rectification to truly be the core leader in successfully implementing the set political tasks.

In particular, with the spirit of solidarity, consensus and unanimity of cadres, party members and people, Que Son has seriously implemented the policy of the Central Government and the Provincial Party Committee on the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels; arranging agencies and units under the district according to the roadmap and plan set out to operate in an orderly manner, without interrupting common work.

Mr. Dinh Nguyen Vu - Secretary of Que Son District Party Committee shared that seriously practicing Uncle Ho's teachings on "self-reflection and self-correction", the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has guided a political activity of "self-reflection and self-correction" throughout the Party Committee.

Accordingly, each party organization, agency, unit, and locality self-examines the results achieved, focuses on clarifying existing shortcomings, and identifies the responsibilities of the collective and individuals; at the same time, on that basis, develops a plan to self-correct and overcome the limitations and shortcomings that have been pointed out.

Every year, the Standing Committee of Que Son District Party Committee develops a plan to overcome the limitations and shortcomings of the previous year and assigns agencies and units to come up with solutions. Each quarter, the results of the overcoming are specifically evaluated; a plan is developed to identify urgent and outstanding issues that need to be focused on, along with assigning Party committees and Standing Committee members to directly direct and urge the implementation...

“With the above specific methods, we have contributed to gradually removing difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing socio-economic development tasks; we have received the consensus and high appreciation of cadres, party members and people.

The district will continue to improve the leadership capacity and fighting power of the Party organization, especially improving the quality of cadres and Party members to meet the very high requirements of the new period. In the immediate future, we will focus on implementing the restructuring of the apparatus according to the general policy, ensuring that the apparatus after restructuring is truly streamlined, operating effectively, efficiently and effectively," said Mr. Vu.

Over 50 years of construction and development, the Party Committee and people of Que Son have been awarded many noble awards by the Party and the State: 17 Labor Medals of various ranks; 2 Excellent Emulation Flags of the Government, 27 Certificates of Merit of the Prime Minister; 201 Excellent Emulation Flags of the Provincial People's Committee; thousands of titles of "excellent labor collective", "victorious unit"; thousands of certificates of merit from sectors and levels.
