Over the past time, with strategic steps in developing educational infrastructure, Da Nang has created a favorable, safe and creative learning environment for students. The city always focuses on improving the quality of learning spaces, from facilities to educational environment.

Within the framework of the project "Building, upgrading and expanding schools in the period 2021-2025", Da Nang has been investing thousands of billions of VND to build new, upgrade and renovate schools.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the basic school network is planned to be suitable for the national education system, while meeting the scale, requirements of urban development and the learning needs of all people of all ages in the area.

Binh Minh Kindergarten (Hai Chau district) is built spacious and modern.

In 2024, Da Nang put into use more than 20 new school buildings, contributing to reducing student population pressure in central districts.

In early 2025, a series of important projects continued to be implemented in Da Nang, such as Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School (campus 2) with a total investment of more than 35.3 billion VND, Bui Thi Xuan Primary School (campus 2) with more than 44.1 billion VND, and Ngo Si Lien Primary School with more than 26.2 billion VND. These are projects that not only increase the number of classrooms, but also functionalize and modernize the education system.

In addition, dozens of other schools are being expanded or newly built, ensuring national standards, while integrating modern technology to improve teaching quality. Facilities in disadvantaged areas are also given special attention, helping to narrow the educational gap between cities and rural areas.

The investment is not only about increasing the number of schools, but also about quality. The new schools are designed according to modern standards, with green learning spaces, libraries, laboratories and standard physical facilities.

In particular, the city always focuses on promoting the application of technology in education with smart classrooms and online school management systems, creating better conditions for teachers and students.

Along with that, the city has constantly strived to improve the quality of education, achieved many proud achievements, affirming its position in building a developed and sustainable education. Typically, the city's students have continuously achieved high results in national and international competitions for excellent students, and many awards in science and technology.

Educational institutions have been proactive and flexible in developing school education plans, subject teaching plans, and educational activities suitable to actual conditions on the basis of ensuring goals and content that meet the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program.

At the same time, organize many teaching and educational activities to develop students' capacity and qualities; diversify learning methods, enhance life skills education; have many new and creative models to improve quality and comprehensively develop students.

Humane steps to reduce tuition fees

Not only investing in infrastructure, Da Nang also made a strong impression with its tuition exemption policy. From the 2021-2022 school year, the city has decided to exempt 100% of tuition fees for students from kindergarten to high school, including both public and non-public schools. In the 2024-2025 school year, this policy will still be maintained, ensuring that all students can study in the best conditions.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Da Nang has implemented a tuition-free policy, reducing the financial burden on parents and creating great motivation for students to feel secure going to school.

Statistics show that the budget for this policy amounts to hundreds of billions of VND each year, affirming the city's determination to build an advanced and equitable education system.

Specifically, the city will prioritize allocating resources and promoting the implementation of the Project on Building, Upgrading and Expanding Schools in the 2021-2025 period to ensure the set schedule; focusing on investment from the budget to build school facilities and techniques in the direction of standardization, modernization and synchronization.

At the same time, invest in building classrooms to meet the learning requirements of all levels and fields of study; improve the quality of teaching 2 sessions/day, organize boarding schools, tutor weak students, and foster excellent students; focus on improving the quality of education for children with disabilities, enhance life skills education for students; raise awareness of career education and orientation for high school students.

From the spacious schools that are springing up to the humane education policy, Da Nang is shaping a comprehensive and sustainable educational future. The worry about tuition fees no longer weighs heavily on parents’ shoulders. The future of children is being shaped by wise decisions today.
