Increase the effectiveness of foreign information work

Highly appreciating the results achieved in foreign information work in the first 6 months of 2024, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that after one year of the Politburo issuing Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW on continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of foreign information work in the new situation, the awareness and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, authorities at all levels, leaders, cadres, Party members and people regarding foreign information work have been significantly improved.

The Central Steering Committee as well as the Steering Committees of provinces and cities have seriously grasped, researched, concretized, advised on the issuance of leadership and direction documents and organized the synchronous implementation of the contents of the Conclusion, especially the five key tasks and solutions in accordance with the motto of being proactive, synchronous, timely, creative and effective.

Orienting the work in the second half of 2024, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia requested the Steering Committee and forces working on foreign information to continue seriously implementing the foreign policy according to the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, the resolutions and conclusions of the Party on continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of foreign information work in the new situation and other important documents; unify and further raise awareness of the Party and State's guidelines and policies on foreign information work, considering this a very important part of the Party's ideological work, a task of the entire political system.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia also proposed to enhance the quality of advisory work, direction, close and synchronous coordination between member agencies of the Steering Committee, between the Central Steering Committee and Steering Committees of provinces and cities and with Vietnamese representative agencies, permanent Vietnamese press agencies abroad; further improve the effectiveness of research, forecasting and the ability and mechanism for rapid response...
