Determined to complete the development target in 2025, Thuan Nam district has closely followed the motto of action "Solidarity, discipline, proactiveness, efficiency, acceleration", synchronously implemented socio-economic development solutions and achieved some positive results. In the first quarter, socio-economic development was stable. Agricultural production and fishing increased compared to the same period. Aquatic product output was nearly 17,000 tons, reaching 21% of the yearly plan, up 1.18% over the same period; aquaculture area was 84 hectares, reaching 24% of the plan, up 12%; aquaculture output was 1,269 tons, up 36.15%. The national target program on new rural construction was promoted.

The district focuses on implementing well the state management of land, minerals, budget collection, site clearance for key projects, especially for Ninh Thuan I Nuclear Power Plant, creating momentum to promote socio-economic development. Budget collection is estimated at 34,868 billion VND, reaching 42% of the provincial estimate, exceeding 75% over the same period. In the fields of culture and society: education, health, social security policies... are fully and promptly implemented. The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses continues to be effectively implemented. The work of streamlining the organization, apparatus, and operating effectively and efficiently according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the Party Central Committee has been implemented strongly and effectively.
Concluding the working session, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, efforts and endeavors of the locality in implementing the tasks of 2025. He noted that the locality should focus on implementing a number of important tasks: Continue to review the growth scenario, promptly identify difficulties and obstacles to have timely solutions, effectively and smoothly implement the tasks of socio-economic development. Implement social security work well, especially focusing on eliminating temporary houses and dilapidated houses; manage the area well, ensure security, order and social safety. Regarding the implementation of the Nuclear Power Plant Project, strengthen management work, carry out well the inventory of land and assets on land to serve land recovery and site clearance in accordance with legal regulations; carry out well the resettlement support work to help people settle down; Strengthen propaganda work, raise awareness for people about the meaning, benefits and safety of the Nuclear Power Plant. Continue to effectively implement the work of arranging administrative units to be streamlined, effective, in accordance with criteria and regulations; review facilities for reasonable arrangement.
