Journalism - a bridge between government and people

Currently, there are 116 press agencies operating in Da Nang, including representative offices and resident reporters. In 2024, the press has contributed significantly to honestly reflecting the political, socio-economic, cultural, and national security and defense developments of the city.

More than 2,000 press works were published this year, creating social consensus and strongly promoting the image of Da Nang - a livable and integrated city - to domestic and foreign audiences. The press also plays a role in refuting false information, protecting the city's reputation and image against distorted arguments.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong acknowledged the positive contributions of press agencies in disseminating important policies and events of the city. He also emphasized: “The press is not only a bridge between the government and the people, but also a pioneer in orienting public opinion, building trust and social consensus. Da Nang City is always ready to create favorable conditions for the press to operate effectively, in accordance with the law and to maximize its role.”

The press has played, is playing and will continue to play an indispensable role in the comprehensive development of Da Nang. With close guidance from the city's leaders and efforts to improve management, Da Nang hopes to build a more professional, transparent and responsible press environment, contributing to affirming the city's pioneering position in the Central region and the whole country.
