Exemplary, pioneer
The road in Solidarity Group 42 in Ha My village, Duy Vinh commune, which was once narrow, dusty in the sun and muddy in the rain, has now been widened to 7.5m and 500m long. Along both sides of the road are flower beds competing to show off their colors.
To build this road, in addition to the State's support of 250 million VND, 30 households in Group 42 contributed 210 million VND and voluntarily donated 1,200 square meters of land, moved 9 fences and solid gates.
Mr. Tran Van Nhi - a resident of Ha My village said that after hearing Mr. No announce the policy and clearly explain the meaning of expanding the traffic route, the people were very supportive. He himself voluntarily donated 50m2 of residential land and contributed funds according to general regulations.
“During the entire construction process, Mr. No was always present to supervise and participate in the work. Therefore, the people responded enthusiastically, trusted and loved him,” said Mr. Nhi.
Not only this route, but currently, 100% of the roads in Ha My village have also been invested in expansion, solid concrete, flower beds on both sides of the road, and lighting systems installed. To have spacious roads, 45 households in Ha My village voluntarily donated more than 5,500m2 of residential land, garden land, and relocated 20 solid fences and gates to build traffic infrastructure.

“In order for people to unanimously complete policies and guidelines, first of all, leaders must be truly exemplary and pioneers in activities.
At the same time, we must properly implement the motto of "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit". Especially, we must dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility in all work" - Mr. Nguyen No shared.
Awakening the people
Every day at 5am, Ms. Trinh Thi Thanh goes to the park in Ha My village to exercise. “Previously, this land was overgrown with weeds and people often grazed cattle. However, since January 2024, the park has been formed, making everyone excited. It is all thanks to Mr. No's leading role,” Ms. Thanh said.
Through research, in addition to the park, Mr. No directly mobilized the systematic construction of a children's playground, 2 soccer fields, and 1 volleyball court.
At the same time, he also pioneered, mobilized and maintained the activities of 6 clubs including football, volleyball, health gymnastics, folk dancing, singing and most recently, the Bai Boi boat racing club.
To help the clubs operate effectively, Mr. No established a Zalo group, planned to organize friendly competitions, and proposed solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in the operation process.
Every year, he mobilizes about 70 million VND from the community to organize sports tournaments. Since then, the local cultural, artistic and sports movement has grown.
Not only that, from the State's funding support, Mr. No actively mobilized socialization to upgrade the cultural house to meet standards with an area of 2,660m2 , a well-planned campus, and planted many trees.
In addition, equipped with sound system and community bookcase with more than 100 books of all kinds to serve the people. Thanks to that, for 6 consecutive years (2018 - 2023), Ha My village has been recognized as a cultural village, more than 96% of households have achieved culture.
Mr. No confided: “It was a hundred times easier to endure without the people, and a thousand times harder to complete with the people, so now looking back, I feel excited because the material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improving, the appearance of the homeland is spacious and clean. All are built on the foundation of solidarity and unanimity of each cadre, party member and villager.”
According to Mr. Nguyen Sau - Chairman of Duy Vinh Commune People's Committee, Mr. No always said what he did, put the people's interests first, and discussed everything democratically, openly and transparently. That is an important factor in bringing Ha My village to the standard of a model new rural residential area by the end of 2023.
Up to now, the average income per capita has reached 66.5 million VND/year, 6.4% higher than the average of the commune. "With a sense of responsibility, Mr. Nguyen No has aroused the people's strength in all activities, making Ha My lead the patriotic emulation movement in the locality for many consecutive years, a shining example of serving the people" - Mr. Sau said.
