Due to the nature of my work, the writer has the opportunity to meet many young Vietnamese people, including those who are still Vietnamese citizens or of Vietnamese origin, living and working abroad.


Among them, many have achieved many successes despite their young age, such as a person who became an economist working at the World Bank (WB) headquarters in Washington DC before the age of 30, or many other young Vietnamese people holding senior positions in global technology corporations... According to some unofficial statistics, it is estimated that there are thousands of young Vietnamese people who are senior personnel in technology corporations in Silicon Valley (California, USA) and neighboring areas.

In recent times, we have taken many concrete and practical actions to attract Vietnamese talents to return to contribute to their homeland. However, due to work or living conditions, not everyone can immediately return home. Meanwhile, such talents and intellectuals can become a very valuable resource to promote the country's development.

Young people working at international organizations and leading corporations in the world will have many opportunities to access skills and gain international work experience. This is a factor that Vietnam really needs to continuously improve the quality of human resources in the globalization trend of the knowledge-based economy era.

From this reality, we need to have diverse action programs, so that each talent, each young person, depending on their conditions, can contribute to the development of the country. One of the foundations for this action program could be to build a community connecting young Vietnamese intellectuals both at home and abroad.

To be effective and bring practical value, the community needs to have specific goals, have appropriate research coordination programs, and share experiences. This community can even become a "trading floor" for ministries, sectors, and businesses to order research and analysis...

In this way, we can promote the intelligence and experience of Vietnamese talents and intellectuals abroad. The coordination process also helps domestic teams have more opportunities to access skills, experience, and standards from those working in international organizations and corporations. Thus, domestic human resources are also upgraded.

Not stopping there, the team of Vietnamese intellectuals and talents abroad is also a bridge between Vietnam and the world's leading organizations and corporations. In fact, this "diplomatic" or connecting channel is no less effective than official forms of connection.

That said, if we effectively promote the contributions from afar, with diverse methods, of talented young Vietnamese people abroad, Vietnam will receive a huge and valuable resource for the country's development process.
