(NLDO) – The school has suspended the homeroom teacher who beat and bruised the legs of a 6th grade male student in Quang Nam province.
On the evening of November 13, the leader of the People's Committee of Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province, said that he had directed the district's Department of Education and Training to inspect and report the incident of a teacher beating a 6th grade student, causing bruises on both legs.

Earlier, at noon on November 13, a parent in Duy Xuyen district posted on Facebook a photo of her son with bruises on both legs, along with information that he was beaten by his teacher.
The boy's family said that at first he refused to talk because he was afraid of having his conduct grade lowered. After the family persuaded him, the boy told the story of being beaten by the teacher after physical education class.
Mr. Le Van Tam, Principal of Le Quy Don Secondary School (Duy Tan Commune, Duy Xuyen District), confirmed that a 6th grade male student of the school was beaten by his homeroom teacher.
According to Mr. Tam, the incident occurred after the male student got into a fight with his friend. When working with the female teacher, she also admitted to using a ruler to hit the student's soft part of the leg. After learning about the incident, the school and the female teacher went to the student's house to inquire and coordinated with the family to take the male student to the doctor.
The principal of Le Quy Don Secondary School said the school is waiting for the results of the police investigation to decide how to handle the teacher. For now, the school has decided to temporarily suspend the female teacher.
