The World Travel Awards continues to recognize Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc) as "The World's Leading Tourist Town in 2024".
On the evening of November 24, in Madeira (Portugal), the World Travel Awards announced the destinations recognized in this year's tourism categories. Vietnam is one of the countries receiving many awards.
In there, Tam Dao won the title of "World's Leading Tourist Town 2024". This is the second time the northernmost district of Vinh Phuc province has been recognized since 2022.
In addition to the above organization, some travel sites also highly appreciate this destination, for example TTW (Travel and Tour World) . In reporting on the award, the magazine described Tam Dao as having become popular as a summer resort for French officials in the late 19th century.
Today, the place's tranquil climate and picturesque scenery continue to attract visitors, especially those looking to quickly escape the hustle and bustle of Hanoi.
"French-style villas and hotels add to the district's appeal, making it a popular destination for those interested in history and nature. The World Travel Awards recognition is expected to attract even more visitors," the magazine wrote.
Besides, the pearl island Phu Quoc also recognized as “World's Leading Natural Island Destination 2024” for the third consecutive year. Ha Nam won the “Special Achievement Award 2024”.
TTW Phu Quoc is known as a “paradise” for nature lovers, famous for its pristine beaches, forests and wildlife, offering an immersive experience in nature. This recognition emphasizes Phu Quoc’s role in the global tourism market.
"The locality will record a record number of searches from tourists around the world in the coming time," the travel site commented.
At the national level, Vietnam was voted "World's Leading Heritage Destination 2024", surpassing other candidates such as Armenia, Brazil, Egypt, Greece, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.
