Recently, Vietnamese tourism has achieved many successes at the World Travel Awards 2024 held in Manila, Philippines.
It can be seen that, recently, Vietnamese tourism has been making many impressions on domestic and foreign tourists when many destinations, localities, sightseeing and travel services of our country have been excellently named in many categories of top tourism in Asia.
Surpassing many countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Sri Lanka, Vietnam has stepped onto the podium of the winner for the category "Asia's Leading Destination" in 2024 of the World Travel Awards (WTA).
In addition, Vietnam is also the winning country for the categories "Asia's Leading Heritage Destination" and "Asia's Leading Nature Destination" in 2024.
Ha Giang province was honored as "Asia's Leading Local Cultural Destination".
Hoi An Ancient Town (Quang Nam) is ranked as "Asia's Leading City Cultural Tourism Destination".
Ha Nam Province Becomes "Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destination",
Moc Chau (Son La) received the award "Asia's Leading Local Natural Destination".
Cuc Phuong National Park was once again honored as "Asia's Leading National Park", surpassing Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park (Japan), Chitwan National Park (Nepal), Minnieriya National Park (Sri Lanka), Kinabalu and Taman Negara National Parks (Malaysia).
Previously, from 2019 to 2023, Cuc Phuong National Park consecutively won the title of "Asia's Leading National Park".
The capital Hanoi won two awards "Asia's Leading City Destination" and "Asia's Leading Short-Term City Destination".
Ho Chi Minh City continues to hold the awards "Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination" and "Asia's Leading Events and Festival Destination".
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism was also honored as "Asia's Leading City-Level Tourism Management Agency". This is also the award that the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism received during this year's WTA season.
The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to recognise, reward and celebrate excellence in the travel and tourism industry worldwide. Last year, the awards ceremony was held in Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition to localities, the World Travel Awards also honored Vietnamese resorts and hotels such as Hoiana Resort & Golf for the category "Asia's Leading Integrated Resort", Six Senses Ninh Van Bay won "Asia's Leading Honeymoon Resort", Inter Continental Danang won the double award "Asia's Leading Green Resort" and "Asia's Leading Luxury Resort",...
Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc) continues to be recognized as 'World's Leading Tourist Town in 2024'. This is the second time Tam Dao has been recognized, the first time being in 2022.
In addition, Phu Quoc Island was also recognized as "The World's Leading Natural Island Destination 2024" for the third consecutive year.
