Kinhtedothi-When spring knocks on the door, Da Nang puts on a colorful beauty of flowers and becomes an ideal destination for domestic and foreign tourists. Impressive growth figures, vibrant festivals and bustling atmosphere show the special attraction of this livable city during Tet 2025.
Number of visitors increased sharply
With more than 469,000 visitors during Tet, an increase of 16.7% over the same period last year, Da Nang once again affirmed its position as a leading destination during the early festival season. Of which, the number of international visitors reached more than 228,000, an increase of 29%, while domestic visitors reached more than 241,000. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 1,887 billion VND, an optimistic number to open the new year.
Looking back at the 2024 Lunar New Year, Da Nang welcomed about 362,000 visitors, an increase of 23% over the previous year. After only one year, this number continues to break out, showing the strong recovery and the constant attractiveness of the coastal city.
Unlike previous years, Tet At Ty 2025 brings visitors not only beautiful scenery but also experiences imbued with tradition and modernity: the Vietnamese Tet festival in Hoa Vang district recreates the traditional Tet scene with a rural market, lion and dragon dances, opera and folk games; "Han River Dance" turns the riverbank area into a giant art stage with vibrant light and music performances; the Spring Flower Festival in Hai Chau district attracts thousands of visitors to admire works of art made from flowers; the Quang Da Tet Cuisine Festival recreates the rural market space with typical Central delicacies; the " Duyen Xuan " exhibition at Da Nang Museum offers a unique perspective on the Tet customs of local people through the ages.

In major tourist areas, visitors can also immerse themselves in the unique festival atmosphere. Ba Na Hills is brilliant with the Tulip Festival, street performances and the show “ Spring Symphony ”. Meanwhile, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park brings the Than Tai Festival, where visitors can pray for good luck at the beginning of the year.
Welcoming guests from the sky to the ocean
This year, Da Nang airport is busier than ever. During the holiday, the city welcomed 1,275 flights, up 58% compared to 2024.
Meanwhile, Tien Sa Port welcomed two international cruise ships, bringing 1,800 visitors from the US, UK, and Canada to Da Nang to visit famous landmarks such as Ngu Hanh Son, Linh Ung Pagoda, Son Tra Peninsula, etc.
This Tet, there are no more empty hotel rooms like a few years ago. Most 4-5 star hotels have reached 60-65% occupancy, nearly 10% higher than last year. 3-star hotels and below also recorded room occupancy rates of about 40%, thanks to the strong increase in domestic tourists.
Many large hotels such as InterContinental Danang, Vinpearl Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency have launched Tet promotion programs, organized New Year's Eve buffet parties, and art programs to welcome Spring, bringing visitors a complete resort experience.
Not only a place for tourists to visit, Da Nang also brings memorable moments during the New Year. From traditional festivals to modern entertainment activities, from the bustling flow of passengers at the airport to the ships docking at the port, all create a brilliant and vibrant Tet picture.
The New Year has come and Da Nang is still welcoming travelers with open arms. It is no coincidence that this city is always on the “must-visit” list of tourists at the beginning of each year. With what has been shown, Da Nang is not only a destination, but also a place to preserve beautiful memories of Spring.
