Exciting "National Great Unity Day" at Lam Lang 1 residential area, Cam Thuy commune, Cam Lo district

This morning, November 9, on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front November 18 (1930 - 2024), Lam Lang 1 Residential Area, Cam Thuy Commune, Cam Lo District, Quang Tri Province organized the "National Great Unity Festival" and "Military-Civilian Cultural Festival"; announced the village to meet the model new rural standards level 2. Lam Lang 1 village currently has 127 households with 466 people. Last year, under the direct guidance of the commune front committee, the Party cell committee, and close coordination with the village committee and member organizations, the residential area front work committee implemented the goals and tasks with high results.

People have transformed the crop and livestock structure, applied science and technology to production; focused on investment, effectively exploited potential and advantages to improve material and spiritual life. People's income reached over 65 million VND/person/year.

The multidimensional poverty rate has decreased to 2.37%. Village rules and regulations of residential areas have been built and voluntarily implemented by the people; social evils have been pushed back. Regulations on implementing civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, and festivals have been strictly followed. The movement to build a learning society and socialize education has been widely launched in residential areas. 100% of children of the right age are sent to school.

Cultural, artistic, physical education and sports movements were actively organized in residential areas. 127 out of 127 households achieved the title of cultural family, accounting for 100%. Activities of gratitude, mutual assistance and mutual love were given attention. Environmental protection, response to climate change, building a bright, green, clean and beautiful environmental landscape; complying with the law, ensuring social order and safety; promoting democracy, actively participating in social supervision and criticism, contributing to building a clean and strong grassroots political system... were effectively implemented.

Identifying the construction of a model new rural village level 2 as one of the key political tasks in the leadership, direction and operation in 2024, the Village Development Board has focused on implementing 14/14 criteria for building a model new rural village level 2 with specific contents and tasks. Lam Lang 1 residential area sets out many goals and tasks in the coming time; launching emulation to carry out patriotic emulation campaigns and movements in 2025.

Speaking to share joy with the people of Lam Lang 1 residential area, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong requested Lam Lang 1 village in particular and Cam Thuy commune in general to continue building the great national unity bloc and strengthening social consensus.

Promote and improve the quality of emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Front and its member organizations, including the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" associated with building model new rural areas at level 2.

Cadres and party members need to set an example in carrying out activities and movements; care for, encourage and support local people to boost production and business, promote local strengths, and contribute to improving the quality of life.

Pay attention to and take care of the lives of people in difficult circumstances; create conditions for people to participate in contributing enthusiastic and responsible opinions to socio-economic development programs, maintaining national defense and security in the locality.

On this occasion, the leaders of the province, Cam Lo district and Cam Thuy commune presented many gifts to many policy families, poor households and households facing difficult circumstances in Lam Lang 1 residential area. The Chairman of Cam Lo district People's Committee presented the decision to recognize Lam Lang 1 village as meeting the new rural model standard level 2 in 2024, and presented a welfare project worth 70 million VND to the locality. Cam Thuy commune People's Committee commended and rewarded outstanding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing patriotic emulation movements in Lam Lang 1 residential area.
