On November 10, My Tan residential area, Binh Chanh commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province organized the National Great Unity Day to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024).
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Thi Quynh Van; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Xuan Men and representatives of specialized agencies assisting the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of leaders of departments and branches; representatives of leaders of Binh Son district attended the Festival.
At the festival, local residents reviewed the glorious history and tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front over the past 94 years; evaluated the results of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" and local patriotic emulation movements.
My Tan Residential Area has 1,626 households, with over 6,000 people. Over the years, people in the Residential Area have always promoted the strength of national solidarity, strictly followed the Party's policies, the State's laws and local regulations; implemented a civilized lifestyle, a cultured family, promoted diligence and creativity in labor and production to develop the economy and stabilize family life. The total number of poor households in the Residential Area is 39, accounting for 2.34%, near-poor households are 52, accounting for 3.12%, 90% of which are solid and semi-solid houses, 85% have regular stable jobs and many households have an income of over 1 billion VND/year.
In 2024, the people in the residential area and benefactors contributed more than 388 million VND, donated 1,000 m2 of land to expand roads, build 5 rural concrete roads, build a gym and sports area at the Village Cultural House for the Elderly Association. The people in the residential area did a good job of protecting the environment, 100% of households used clean water, 100% of households had clean toilets, village roads and alleys were always cleared and cleaned; practiced a civilized cultural lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals; launched and commended the 6-free residential area... The number of families in the residential area achieving the title of cultural family in 2024 was over 95%.
Speaking at the Festival, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van praised the results that the people in the residential area have achieved in the past time. Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van informed the people about some advantages and difficulties in the socio-economic development of the province in nearly a term of implementing the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, as well as the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development tasks of the province in the first 10 months of 2024.
Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van added that in the coming time, the cadres and people of My Tan residential area in particular and Binh Son district in general will continue to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, effectively implement the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels; organize patriotic emulation movements well, mobilize resources to effectively carry out social security work, help and support disadvantaged and poor households to stabilize their lives, reduce poverty sustainably; complete the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.
On this occasion, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van presented 2 Great Solidarity houses to 2 poor households, worth 50 million VND/house. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province awarded a Certificate of Merit for outstanding residential area to My Tan Residential Area in implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" in 2024; presented 20 gifts to 20 poor households in Binh Chanh commune, each gift worth 1 million VND.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Son District presented 13 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to poor households. In addition, the grassroots Fatherland Front and business units presented many gifts to poor people and students.
