Talking to the local people, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen affirmed that the Festival is an annual activity of the Party, the State, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front. This movement has been maintained and developed for 94 years. This is an opportunity for people in the residential areas to meet each other, look back at what has been done in the past time, and at the same time share and agree on what needs to be implemented.
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee expressed his excitement when witnessing the changes in the revolutionary site of An Phu Dong - where Wards 10 and 11 are the central area. He highly appreciated the locality for having many typical and progressive examples, including many students who have achieved achievements in studying and training.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nen assessed that the festival organized by the people of Wards 10 and 11 was very good in both content and form, evoking deep and lingering emotions. Through the summary report of the representatives of the two Wards, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee highly praised the achievements that the area had achieved.
“The festival is a meeting for everyone to review the heroic traditions that our ancestors have done to make us what we are today. From there, we appreciate the values our ancestors brought us,” Mr. Nen emphasized.
Reporting at the Festival, Ms. Pham Thi Muoi - Secretary of the Party Cell of Ward 11, on behalf of the two Wards, said that the area has a natural area of 25.4 hectares; a total population of 1,211 households, with 3,706 people.
In 2024, 100% of households in the two neighborhoods will not violate construction order; voluntarily register to collect household waste; contribute funds and expenses to maintain the ward's camera system; mobilize for the "For the Poor" fund...
In addition, the branches and organizations introduced 32 households to access preferential interest rate support funds, with an amount of over 1.3 billion VND. Thanks to that, it helped 32 households increase production; take care of single-parent households in difficult circumstances and policy beneficiaries, with 307 gifts worth over 92 million VND...
The festival also recorded practical contributions from the people. Mr. Ninh Quang Thanh (Ward 10, An Phu Dong Ward) shared that he has lived in the area for 20 years. Recently, with the attention of leaders at all levels, especially the dedication of ward officials, roads have been contributed by the people, built spaciously, muddy conditions have been overcome, many alleys have been widened, helping people to travel conveniently. Canals have been dredged, garbage has been collected, making the environment clean and livable.
