
During a campaign to ensure traffic safety for students, from October 1st to 31st, the Traffic Police and Order Team of Thanh Mien District Police fined 245 traffic violations with a total amount of 683 million VND.
Specifically, the traffic police force of Thanh Mien district detected 117 vehicles (including 78 cars and 39 motorcycles) violating speed limits, accounting for 48% of the total number of cases penalized in October and an increase of 87 cases compared to the same period in 2023.
Authorities have fined a total of 281 million VND and revoked driving licenses for a limited period in 41 cases. According to statistics, most violations involved exceeding the speed limit by 10-20 km/hour.
Currently, in Thanh Mien district, three provincial roads, namely roads 392, 392B, and 399, have speed limit signs installed. Despite active efforts by authorities to raise awareness and encourage compliance, speeding violations remain frequent and are a major cause of traffic accidents.
