Vote to recognize 5 communes meeting advanced new rural standards

This afternoon, April 1, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, Ha Sy Dong, Chairman of the Council for appraisal and consideration of proposals for recognition of communes meeting new rural standards, communes meeting advanced new rural standards, communes meeting model new rural standards of Quang Tri province in the period of 2021 - 2025, chaired a meeting to review and appraise communes meeting advanced new rural standards in 2024 for 5 communes including: Hai Duong (Hai Lang district); Trieu Do, Trieu Thuan (Trieu Phong district); Hien Thanh (Vinh Linh district) and Hai Le (Quang Tri town).

According to the summary report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the 5 communes assessed this time basically all met 17 or more criteria according to the set of criteria for advanced new rural communes. Specifically, Hai Duong commune met 17/19 criteria and 70/74 targets; Hai Duong commune met 17/19 criteria and 68/74 targets; Hien Thanh commune met 17/19 criteria and 72/74 targets; Trieu Do commune met 18/19 criteria and 69/74 targets; Trieu Thuan commune met 17/19 criteria and 70/74 targets.

There are only a few small indicators that have not been completed, leading to the criteria that have not been achieved being difficult indicators compared to the actual situation of localities in the province; some indicators require a lot of investment capital for construction and time for implementation. Through the survey, the satisfaction rate of people with the results of new rural construction in communes reached from 96.6% - 100%. There is no overdue debt for basic construction in new rural construction.

At the meeting, after listening to representatives of the communes reporting, clarifying the criteria that have not been met and committing to improve, the members of the appraisal council, considering the proposal to recognize the communes meeting the new rural standards, communes meeting the advanced new rural standards, communes meeting the model new rural standards of the province voted to recognize 5/5 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards in 2024 with a rate of 100%.

Concluding the meeting, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong assigned relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities to complete the dossiers for recognizing communes meeting advanced new rural standards for these communes in April 2025. Continue to guide, allocate resources, and support localities to complete unmet targets and criteria as committed; do not let the situation of criteria arrears occur; gradually improve the quality of advanced new rural commune criteria in a sustainable and practical direction.
