Today, April 1, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam signed a decision approving the project document "Improving access to online public services for people in remote, isolated and ethnic minority areas in the process of building digital government in Huong Tan, Huong Phung, Lia and Thuan communes of Huong Hoa district and A Vao and Ba Nang communes of Dakrong district, Quang Tri province" funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Vietnam. The total budget for the project is over VND 1.9 billion, of which non-refundable aid is over VND 1.6 billion, counterpart capital is VND 300 million (Huong Hoa District People's Committee VND 200 million; Dakrong District People's Committee VND 100 million). The project implementation period is 12 months from the time the aid is approved.
The project aims to improve access to public administrative services for people in remote areas and ethnic minority areas. Publicity and transparency in the process of handling administrative procedures.
Improve the effectiveness of governance and public administration of state administrative agencies at the commune level in Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts in particular, and Quang Tri province in general. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committees of Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts to balance and allocate from the budget managed by the district to invest in IT infrastructure equipment at the headquarters of the People's Committees of the project communes; and to award prizes at the workshop to evaluate the results and end the project in each district.
