Being a near-poor household, the whole family of two generations had to live in a dilapidated, dilapidated wooden house for many years. The dream of a solid home for Mr. Long Vinh Vuong in Sang Chai residential group, Muong Khuong town was a distant dream. Thanks to the temporary house removal program, along with the support of the community, his family was supported to build a solid house to stabilize their lives.
"My family is a near-poor household. With the attention of the Party and the State, the town officials encouraged my family to build a more solid house, so I borrowed more money to build a house," said Mr. Vuong.
With the support of the State, Mr. Vuong borrowed more money to build a new, spacious house.
Not only Mr. Vuong's family, hundreds of other poor households in Muong Khuong town are also receiving support to build new homes. Along with the support of the State, people in the villages and hamlets also contribute labor and materials to help poor households soon have solid housing. The locality is determined to eliminate all of the more than 200 temporary, dilapidated houses that have been supported to build new houses, ensuring that no one is left behind.
"To achieve this goal, we will assign village officials and organizations to be in charge of each household and each house to urge implementation. Currently, there are 43 households that have not started construction. We are determined to mobilize households to achieve the set goal," added Mr. Vang Sao Dung, Chairman of Muong Khuong Town People's Committee.
Muong Khuong is determined to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before June 30, 2025.
Up to now, Muong Khuong district has built 2,760 houses, reaching over 65% of the plan. With the determination to complete the goal of eliminating all remaining temporary and dilapidated houses before June 30, the locality has mobilized the drastic participation of the entire political system, the cooperation of the community, businesses, organizations, and kind-hearted individuals, and the efforts of the households that benefit from the policy.
Mr. Giang Seo Van, Secretary of Muong Khuong District Party Committee, said: "Mobilize all core forces to strengthen each village and hamlet to closely follow and mobilize each family; at the same time, develop specific plans for each week and each month with the highest goal of eliminating 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses in Muong Khuong district."
The new houses are not only a shelter from the rain and sun, but also a foundation to help people stabilize their lives and escape poverty. After 90 days and nights of continuous efforts, Muong Khuong is gradually changing the face of the countryside, bringing joy and hope to disadvantaged households.
