Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City - has just signed a document related to the American International School case.

Despite being suspended, the school has still carried out some activities to prepare for the new school year. Therefore, Mr. Bao requested that the American International School not conduct a survey to determine whether students will continue to study at the school or not. At the same time, during the suspension period, the school is not allowed to organize any educational activities.

Schools must notify parents of the transfer and provide instructions on the procedures; assign a person in charge to sign the transfer documents. The Department requires schools to do this before the start of the new school year to avoid affecting the student's enrollment time.

At the same time, if the school has any improper behavior, the Department will apply measures to ensure that this educational institution must comply with regulations.

When this facility submits a complete application and evidence to ensure the conditions for resumption of operations, the Department will consider the request for a license. However, according to the Department's leaders, up to now, the school has not ensured the conditions for educational activities.

Assessing the actual situation of the American International School, Mr. Ho Tan Minh - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City - said that up to this point, the school has not been approved by the Department for educational cooperation activities because the integrated program profile has not been completed according to the comments of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The Department has issued decisions requiring schools not to enroll in first-grade classes (grades 1, 6, and 10) and to accept transfer students until the 2024-2025 school year.

Currently, the American International School has only 10 foreign teachers and 18 Vietnamese teachers. The school has not yet had a new principal because it is proposing to review and reorganize the school board. The school's investor has not yet provided evidence showing sufficient financial resources to ensure the maintenance and development of educational activities.
