On December 12 alone, Shopee recorded a 28-fold increase in the number of products sold via Shopee Live globally. In Vietnam alone, the platform reached 26 million products sold in 1.4 million hours of livestreaming with the participation of celebrities, sellers and brands throughout the Birthday Sale event.
Shopee has concluded the “12-12 Shopee Live Birthday Sale” event with a series of impressive growth milestones from sellers and brands on the platform, helping Vietnamese users enjoy many incentives and save more than 1,500 billion VND throughout the 12-12 event.
In the Vietnamese market, the number of users watching live broadcasts of e-commerce platforms, sellers and brands increased 12 times on December 12, contributing more than 6.4 million hours of livestream viewing on Shopee Live throughout the event.
Notably, Shopee's livestream series including "12 Days Live Birthday To The Roof", "How To Escape", "Sop Pi's Fun Stories"... have left many special impressions in the hearts of viewers, not only bringing fun entertainment content with many attractive promotions but also gathering a series of top stars and KOL/KOC (influencers) who are currently receiving the most attention. These entertainment programs lasted throughout the 12-12 event, reaching a record of more than 14 million views.
At the same time, sellers and brands on the platform also increased their investment in Shopee Live and achieved impressive results. On December 12 alone, the number of livestream sessions from sellers and brands increased 11 times compared to normal days. Of which, nearly 7,500 businesses livestreamed on Shopee Live for the first time.
