The final round of the national 7-a-side football championship is about to start

VietFootball Joint Stock Company and Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (SABECO) officially announced the launch of the final round of the National 7-a-side Football Championship - Saigon Beer Cup 2023 (VPL-S4).

The final round of the national 7-a-side football championship is about to start.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan, General Director of VietFootball, Head of the tournament's Organizing Committee spoke at the ceremony.

The matches will take place in Hanoi for 3 days from August 24-27 with the participation of the championship trophy from the eight excellent teams that top the qualifying round in the Northern, Central, and Southern regions.

Taking place from June 2023, the VPL-S4 season has gone through 3 regions: North, Central and South to find the strongest teams.

In the Northern Region, the pioneer of 7-a-side football with 10 years of experience, has gathered teams with bright stars. After fierce rounds, the North has determined the champion to be FC Mobi.

Meanwhile, in the Southern Region, FC An Bien was crowned early with a convincing round.

At the Central and Central Highlands points, Hieu Hoa - Quahaco (Da Nang) excellently won the qualifying round in the first round.

The final round of the Championship Cup will take place at the Hoang Mai District Cultural and Sports Center, promising a very exciting and engaging match with the competition from the 8 winning teams in the qualifying round.

The matches will be broadcast on channels and transmission platforms of Vietnam Cable Television Corporation (VTVcab) to further promote the playground to audiences nationwide as well as gradually raise the level and spread the influence of 7-a-side football.

Saigon Cup VPL-S4 Beer continues to conquer the hearts of hundreds of football fans and audiences with the passion and sportsmanship of teams across the provinces.

The 2023 season also marks the 10-year journey of formation and development of the 7-a-side football tournament format in Vietnam since the first season called Hanoi Premier League (HPL) held in 2013, then upgraded to a national tournament called the National 7-a-side Championship (VPL). In 2022, VPL officially changed its name to the National 7-a-side Football Championship - Bia Saigon Cup.

Following the success of the 2022 season, Bia Saigon has committed to continue sponsoring the tournament for the next two years. In addition to the accompanying and sponsoring units, the National 7-a-side Football Championship - Bia Saigon Cup 2023 also receives support and coordination from the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, Vietnam Football Federation, and Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The 7-a-side football format has long been considered a unique and interesting platform for Vietnamese football lovers, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their passion, talent and skills for the King of Sports.

The VPL-S3 and S4 seasons have created very positive effects, not only attracting the attention of many 7-a-side football clubs from professional to amateur, but also creating great appeal in the football-loving community nationwide.
