FC Luong Son successfully defended the championship title of the Lao Cai Province 7-a-side Football Club Championship

On the afternoon of June 18, at the artificial turf field of Duyen Hai ward, Lao Cai city, the final round matches of the 2nd Lao Cai Province 7-a-side Football Club Championship - 2023 took place.

The tournament has 7 teams with 120 athletes from localities in the province, including: FC Tai Chinh 240, FC BB Team, FC Pho Ban, FFC Lao Cai, FC Luong Son, FC 24 and FC K47. The teams compete in a round robin format to calculate points to award the championship, second, third and style prizes.

The matches were exciting, fierce and dramatic.

The tournament started on May 7. Through 21 matches, the teams competed in a spirit of sportsmanship, solidarity, honesty, exchange, and mutual learning from each other's experiences, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, contributing to the success of the tournament.

This year's tournament is highly competitive, dramatic until the final matches. Before the final round, there are 3 teams competing for the championship. Of which, FC Luong Son and FC Tai Chinh 240 share the 2 leading positions with 11 points each, FC Luong Son is ranked higher due to better secondary index (+4 compared to +2). FC 24 is right behind with only 1 point less.

At the end of the final round, FC Luong Son successfully defended the championship title with a convincing 8-4 victory over direct opponent FC 24, despite FC Tai Chinh 240 overwhelmingly winning FFC Lao Cai with a score of 5-2 in the match at the same time.
