Saigontourist Group supports 3 billion VND for flood victims

On the afternoon of September 24, 2024, at the Majestic Hotel, Tuoi Tre Newspaper in collaboration with Saigon Tourist Group organized a workshop on the topic: "Promoting Vietnam - Japan tourism: The attraction of unique tourism products".

Within the framework of the event, through Tuoi Tre newspaper, the collective leadership, officers and employees of Saigon Tourist Corporation (Saigontourist Group) decided to support the amount of 3 billion VND, contributing to the people of the Northern localities to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, and stabilize their lives.

Sharing more about the unit's joint action to share the difficulties and losses caused by storms and floods, Mr. Pham Huy Binh - Chairman of Saigontourist Group - said that this is a time when the spirit of mutual love and solidarity is very precious and necessary, when witnessing the huge losses and many difficulties that people in the flood-affected areas have had to endure.

"With the money Saigontourist Group has donated and supported today, we hope to provide timely support, share the warmth of humanity with our compatriots affected by storms and floods, and help them overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives," said Mr. Pham Huy Binh.

Previously, the 18th Saigontourist Group Golf Tournament held on September 21 donated VND200 million to support people affected by storms and floods. This is an annual golf tournament organized by Saigontourist Group for charity purposes. Since its first organization in 2006, the Saigontourist Group Golf Tournament for the Community has attracted 2,680 golfers to participate.

In addition, Saigontourist Group also implemented a program to support production development, social security, join hands to build new rural areas, and support remote communes of Can Gio district with a total of 10 billion VND in the period from 2017 to 2020.

The program is implemented under the direction of the City Party Committee and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on the clean water program for schools, supporting people in the northern mountainous provinces affected by natural disasters, giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; and awarding scholarships to children of Saigontourist Group employees and workers in difficult circumstances.

Every year, the corporation's trade union also organizes many activities to care for workers and laborers with difficult family circumstances to have the opportunity to celebrate Lunar New Year, with the program "Happy Tet with city workers", the program "Tet reunion", "Spring connection of love" and the Mid-Autumn Festival program...
