To get to Phuong Mai wind farm (Cat Tien commune, Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh), visitors can go from Quy Nhon city center to the North, cross Thi Nai bridge, turn left onto National Highway 19B, then go straight for about 12km and you will see wind turbines from afar on the left side of the road.
This wind farm is located on Phuong Mai peninsula, with an area of 122 hectares, including many wind turbine towers. The height of each tower is 114m, in which the fan diameter is up to 132m.
Le Xuan Thu (a tourist from Gia Lai) excitedly said: “I came here following instructions on TikTok. From afar, the rotating blades on the sand dunes are very beautiful, but when you get closer, you are surprised by the height and width of these blades.”
Not far from Phuong Mai wind farm is Nhon Hoi wind power plant located on Phuong Mai mountain.
Phuong Mai wind farm area is quite close to other tourist attractions such as Trung Luong beach (Cat Tien commune), Ky Co - Eo Gio, Hon Kho, the tallest Buddha statue in Southeast Asia... Since its appearance, this wind farm has attracted a large number of tourists, especially young people.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh, recently tourists visiting Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh were especially impressed with the wind power field in the Phuong Mai peninsula area.
Many domestic enterprises have surveyed and planned to invest in services and tourism at some points on Phuong Mai peninsula, creating favorable conditions for tourists to check-in next to the wind power field.
