On the evening of January 25, Saigon Bank for Industry and Trade (Saigonbank) officially announced that the Can Tho City Investigation Agency had initiated a case involving two former Saigonbank Thot Not branch officials for accepting bribes.
Accordingly, Saigonbank said that during the internal review process, as soon as the two related personnel's violations of regulations were discovered, the bank suspended and forced the two above-mentioned personnel to quit from 2023 and coordinated with law enforcement agencies to handle the matter according to regulations.
