According to Wccftech , information about the Steam Deck 2 generation of gaming consoles continues to be revealed when a shipping record from NBD shows the appearance of the AERITH Plus SoC (integrated chip) - an upgraded version of the AERITH that is currently used in the current Steam Deck. According to leaked data, the AERITH Plus will have a maximum clock speed of 3.8 GHz, 300 MHz higher than the 3.5 GHz of the AERITH. In addition, this SoC also has a maximum TDP of 20W, higher than the 15W of the previous generation.
The first generation of Steam Decks equipped with AERITH chips with Zen 2 architecture is now losing performance to devices using Zen 4 such as ASUS ROG Ally or Lenovo Legion Go

AERITH is the codename of the SoC designed by AMD specifically for the Steam Deck, based on the Zen 2 architecture with 4 cores, 8 threads and an integrated GPU using the RDNA 2 architecture. The AERITH Plus version is said to bring significant performance upgrades. In addition to the increased clock speed, the integrated GPU of this SoC can also reach a maximum of 1.8 GHz, 200 MHz higher than the 1.6 GHz of the GPU on the AERITH. It comes with Samsung's 8,533 MT/s LPDDR5X memory, a significant upgrade over the current 6,400 MT/s LPDDR5.
AMD's upgrade to the SoC for the next-gen Steam Deck could indicate that Valve is preparing a performance leap for the handheld. Valve confirmed last year that it wants the next-gen Steam Deck to be significantly more powerful than the current version. If the leak is accurate, the AERITH Plus could be a custom version of the Kraken Point processor family, based on the Zen 5 architecture with up to 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 12-unit GPU. This could give the device a significant boost in graphics processing and overall performance.
However, there is currently no official information about Steam Deck 2, nor the detailed configuration of the AERITH Plus SoC. Initial leaks suggest that the device could launch next year, but we still need to wait for more information from Valve or AMD to confirm.
