Recently, the book "Guangxi Narrative on China-Vietnam Friendship" and the film "Bien Hai" were introduced in China.
The book "Guangxi Narrative on China-Vietnam Friendship" was compiled by Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences.
Nguyen, Deputy Director of the Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences, Huang Zheng, said that this book systematically describes four events in the modern history of Guangxi that reflect the friendship between China and Vietnam.
The book focuses on major topics such as President Ho Chi Minh's footprints in Guangxi, Vietnamese schools in Guilin, Guangxi rear hospitals during the Vietnam War, and the "Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea" starting from Guangxi.

The book also describes in detail President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities in Guilin, Liuzhou, as well as in the districts on the Sino-Vietnamese border such as Jingxi, Longzhou, and Napo from 1938 to 1945. During the period 1950 to 1965, President Ho Chi Minh visited Guangxi many times, met many local people and enthusiastically spread the history of Vietnam-China friendship.
In addition, the book also provides historical documents recording the establishment of Vietnamese schools in Guangxi during the resistance war against France, the support of Guangxi rear hospitals and the urgent, secret transportation of relief materials to Vietnam via the “Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea”. All of this vividly reflects the deep affection between President Ho Chi Minh and the people of Guangxi, established during the revolutionary struggle.
The film "Bien Hai" inspired by the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam, has just been introduced by the Cinema Art Center of the China Literature and Art Federation in Beijing.
"Bien Hai" is produced by the Propaganda Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee and the Film Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Set in the unique landscape of Fangchenggang City, the film tells the touching love story between A Dung - a Kinh ethnic boy and A Hoa - a Vietnamese girl. Their meeting took place at a crowded and bustling border market. Over time, love and dreams became the driving force for them to overcome mountains and seas. In a foreign land, their love story and youth are full of poetry and passion.
The film expresses the sincere feelings between Chinese and Vietnamese people through delicate narration, thereby highlighting the significance of cultural exchange between the two sides.
As the first domestic film to take the theme of border trade, reflecting the friendly exchanges between the Chinese and Vietnamese people, the film “Bien Hai” is not only a love story that transcends borders and language barriers, but also a tribute to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of China-Vietnam diplomatic relations and the “Year of China-Vietnam Humanitarian Exchange”.
