This is a joint project between businesses and schools, launched on National Digital Transformation Day 2023, with the theme "Exploiting digital data to create value".
Mr. Tran Tan Phuc, Chairman of Portcoast Board of Directors, presented the handover board of digital transformation project to University of Technology.
The digital transformation project has brought the entire space of the Polytechnic University at both campuses onto a digital platform. With just an electronic device connected to the internet, users can access the platform and explore every location of the school with a real feeling like visiting in person.
The project shows the 3D space of 29 buildings and 50 typical laboratories of 12 faculties, training centers, research centers, libraries through a high-quality 360-degree image system with bilingual information in Vietnamese - English, images, sounds, videos... introducing faculties, centers, and types of teaching equipment. Thanks to that, users will have an overview of the learning and living environment at the University of Technology, meeting the needs of communication - remote enrollment of the school. In addition, experts from international accreditation organizations can rely on the project to evaluate the criteria of facilities without spending much time and money.
Measurement function on current 3D model
In particular, the project also integrates many other "dynamic" features, allowing users to directly manipulate at any point on the school's 3D model. In addition, Portcoast also introduces the function that allows lecturers to directly note damaged points of equipment on 360-degree images on this platform, after which the platform will automatically notify the correct location of the equipment to the staff in charge via email. This is also a new special feature compared to virtual reality experience platforms (3D Virtual Tour) that usually only provide experiences with 360 images.
When integrated into virtual reality projects, the above "dynamic" features will help provide accurate and detailed information about the school's infrastructure, thereby contributing to optimizing the management, maintenance, repair, and construction of facilities as well as enhancing the effectiveness of the school's digital administration.
In addition, Portcoast has initially integrated a number of e-books onto the digital platform, allowing students to share the database at the same time without any limitations on space or access time. In the virtual space of the library, students can move to the bookshelf and select a digitized book to read.
Mr. Tran Tan Phuc, Chairman of Portcoast Board of Directors, introduced one of the modern equipment serving digital transformation.
Portcoast has applied many modern technologies and equipment in parallel with the world's technological development to build this project. Users can experience the project on many different platforms, from computers to phones, iPads and virtual reality glasses (VR glasses). In the coming time, the two sides will continue to coordinate to upgrade this digital transformation project by digitizing reference books, building 3D models of machinery and equipment in laboratories, and notifying the status of equipment in laboratories via email to the staff in charge...
