The music night "Love Story" on the evening of April 14 at the Hanoi Opera House made listeners excited with the unprecedented combinations of Tung Duong, Myra Tran and Quoc Thien.
Opening the program, Myra Tran said she was moved when she stood on the stage of the Opera House for the first time and sang with Tung Duong, one of the four teachers she has always respected since the X-Factor competition 6 years ago. They performed a romantic and sweet duet "Anh chua thuong em ca the" (Hua Kim Tuyen).
In addition to the two duets with Tung Duong, Myra Tran also harmonized with Quoc Thien in the song "Don't be like a habit" composed by Duong Khac Linh. In the solo part, she brought the songs "Moi cham moi" (August), "Cho em gan anh them chut nua" (Tang Nhat Tue), "Anh" (Xuan Phuong), "Nhua phut ban dau" (Tien Minh)...
Standing on the same stage with Tung Duong, Quoc Thien nicknamed the male singer "the king of festivals" because he was so in demand. Meanwhile, Tung Duong called Quoc Thien "the prince of love songs" because he was so successful with ballads. The "king of festivals" and "the prince of love songs" first harmonized in the song "Tomorrow someone gets married" by Dong Thien Duc. This song was covered by Quoc Thien on many stages and attracted tens of millions of views on YouTube.
According to Quoc Thien, he has been singing for 15 years, often performing in the capital, but this is the first time he has stood on the stage of the Opera House, which is considered a musical sanctuary. Nervous and emotional, Quoc Thien performed songs that have been with him since he first started singing, such as "Mong manh tinh ve", the medley "Canh hong phai", "Nguoi lang qua", "Khoi thuoc doi cho". He also brought a new song by Dong Thien Duc called "Ky uc cua nguoi say", which is loved by many audiences with millions of views on YouTube.
Harmonizing with his juniors, Tung Duong brings a completely new color with youthful and profound love songs. The male singer said that this is a new direction for his career path. At the age of nearly 50, he likes to sing with young singers to receive youthful and fresh energy from them. "From this program onwards, I will only pair with young girls" - Tung Duong made the audience laugh because of his humor.
In addition to duets with Myra Tran and Quoc Thien, Tung Duong also chose youthful songs associated with the names of young singers such as "Ngay chua gio bao" (Bui Lan Huong), "Dau ai chung tinh duoc mai" (Dong Thien Duc). Last night was also the first time he sang "So yeu" (Hoang Nha) and "Vi anh chua thuong em" (Vo Hoai Phuc). The male singer made the audience excited, swaying to each beat of the music because of his changes on stage.
Not only passionate about love songs, Tung Duong also brought a vibrant atmosphere with the mash-up "Cát đại nhớ - Ben tren thang lau" (Tang Duy Tan) with a funky arrangement. Not only young audiences, many middle-aged audiences also continuously swayed to Tung Duong's singing.
The program is divided into two parts. If the first part is sweet love songs expressing different levels of love between couples, the second part is an expansion of the concept of love. It is not only the love between couples but also the love of children for their family, the love of artists for the audience and the love of the Fatherland of each Vietnamese child.
