Information about famous singers who have just been admitted to the Vietnam Musicians' Association was shared by the President of the Vietnam Musicians' Association - musician Duc Trinh at the New Year meeting with members on January 21 in Hanoi.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online about admitting performing singers into the musician association, Mr. Duc Trinh explained that the Vietnam Musicians Association does not only have musicians, but also has four music majors, including composition, performance, criticism theory and training.
Therefore, members will have all 4 majors. Tung Duong, Tan Nhan, Pham Phuong Thao… belong to the performing major. However, recently Tung Duong has composed songs, in which he introduced to the public the song Mang Thai.
Musician Duc Trinh said that in the past, there were suggestions to change the name of the Vietnam Musicians Association to the Vietnam Music Association to be more appropriate. However, the name Vietnam Musicians Association has a long-standing historical value, so it is still kept until now.

Regarding the exciting activities of the Vietnam Musicians Association last year, musician Duc Trinh said that last year the association had many innovations in its activities as well as organized many programs with political significance such as launching the Unification Song contest.
Competitions, festivals, and awards ceremonies are open to non-member artists and other innovations.
